As we all know very well the sales of new Porsche cars is going down and down these months. Such situation is of course caused by the economy crisis. But how is the used Porsche cars market doing? Is it going to benefit now where the rest of the car industry (producers especially) is undergoing a major collapse? I guess the answer would be yes. The price reductions and the promotions will never be as attractive as the prize of a used Porsche car, even if it's only one year old, yet still much better equipped that the promotional version. And here comes the question: how often do you change your car and what do you do to get rid of the old one? Do you sell it on a website or try to advertise it in a local press at the lowest possible cost? Or maybe you just park it on the street with the price displayed behind its front window? What is the best source to sell and buy used cars without being cheated on? Or shall I say it – what is the most credible source? Now car purchasing has become fun again which can't be said of car selling.

Last sneak of Porsche Boxster

Last week a OOYYO spotted the used Porsche Boxster on a streets of the Madrid, Spain – and over the weekend, e spotted the whole fleet of Porsche group used cars. A busy day in the Madrid. I saw the Boxster get stuck in the traffic direct at the city square. Driving down the hill, a row of three Porsche Boxster models came driving upwards. One could wonder why they have chosen this day with thousands of people waiting for the start of the race two days later.
A publicity stunt perchance? Several commentators have already suggested as much in the comments on the Porsche scoop. Or perhaps some Porsche group engineers hanker after an alternative career as Lance Armstrong wannabes!

Porsche on the streets of Roma

We won't see the basic Porsche Boxster to much on the streets of Roma, but our nosier observers at the Roma have already captured the top-dog Boxster version driving at the Roma. Blame the emissions regs, the ever-increasing scrutiny of largesse under the bonnet and – let's face it – the recession that's totally recalibrating the model line-up of most manufacturers.

Cost is another issue which currently troubles the Porsche. Porsche, which has pegged the Cayenne on the other car matrix, has again paired the next Cayenne with the follow-up to the next series. Instead of pooling the third-generation, Porsche has twinned its price-sensitive entry-level model with a rivals. Would it not have been wiser to devise a common components set for the oldest Cayenne?
Of course, but now it's too late for last-minute revisions. In the third quarter of 2011, next model will roll off the line, followed by another version. And there might be more Ones to follow - Porsche is currently evaluating no fewer than five two-door alternatives.
• a replacement for the classic hatchback Porsche - a variant with a virtually neutral profit margin
• a three-door shooting brake Porsche - originally conceived to counter
• a three-door Porsche - which makes sense unless it cannibalizes touring
• a three- or five-door Porsche - with controversial proportions and an exotic door concept
In view of the current budget constraints, it is very difficult to predict which variant is most likely to get the nod.
